Overview

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Jefe. They are published at https://getjefe.app/terms.

Jefe's Privacy Policy at https://getjefe.app/privacy explains how Jefe handles account, customer, job, payment, support, analytics, and operational data.

Who may use Jefe

  • Account owners are responsible for their company workspace, invited managers, invited crew, customer data, payment settings, templates, and business information entered into Jefe.
  • Managers and crew may use Jefe only within the permissions granted by the account owner or company administrator.
  • Users must provide accurate account information, keep their devices and credentials secure, and promptly tell Jefe if they believe an account or verification code has been compromised.

Verification and one-time codes

When you sign up, sign in, join an invited crew account, or ask Jefe to send a code, Jefe or its authentication providers may send a one-time verification code to the email address you provide or may route you through a supported sign-in provider. By requesting a code, you confirm that you control or are authorized to use that email address.

Verification messages may be sent by email or another supported authentication channel, including by automated systems. Code delivery is not guaranteed and may be limited, delayed, blocked, or rejected for security, abuse-prevention, provider, or unsupported-region reasons.

Phone numbers may be used as business or contact information and for owner-device SMS handoff, but they are not launch authentication factors.

  • Do not request a code for an email address you do not control or have permission to use.
  • Do not share one-time verification codes with anyone, including Jefe support.
  • Jefe may throttle, suspend, or block code requests that appear abusive, risky, or inconsistent with these Terms.
  • Authentication codes are transactional account-security messages, not marketing messages.

Customer data and communications

Companies using Jefe are responsible for the customer, job, contact, quote, invoice, photo, work-request, and communication information they enter or import. Account owners should use Jefe only with data they are allowed to collect, store, and use for their business.

Some customer communications are prepared by Jefe and handed off for the owner or authorized user to send from their device or account. Jefe may also send configured transactional emails for payment verification, payment recovery, support, or similar operational purposes where enabled.

Payments, saved cards, and autopay

Jefe helps a company collect payment for that company's own field-service work through Stripe-powered payment surfaces. Jefe is not a bank, money transmitter, stored-value provider, escrow service, or card issuer.

Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, service-quality issues, and customer-payment questions are primarily between the service business and its customer, subject to Stripe, card-network, and applicable legal requirements.

Where saved-card or autopay features are enabled, customers must see and accept the specific saved-card or autopay authorization text shown in that flow before Jefe creates the related Stripe setup records.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use Jefe to send spam, deceptive communications, unlawful content, harassment, or messages that violate carrier, payment-network, platform, or customer-consent rules.
  • Do not attempt to access another company's data, bypass permissions, reverse engineer security controls, overload the service, or interfere with Jefe or its providers.
  • Do not enter sensitive payment card numbers, CVC values, government identifiers, passwords, or one-time codes into notes, support requests, SMS bodies, email bodies, or other free-form fields.

Service changes and availability

Jefe may change, suspend, or discontinue features, integrations, or provider-backed services. Some features depend on third-party providers, app stores, carriers, payment networks, internet access, device permissions, and account configuration.

Jefe may suspend or restrict accounts when needed to protect users, customers, payment flows, the service, providers, or legal compliance.

Disclaimers and limits

Jefe is provided on an as-available basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Jefe disclaims warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every business, customer, payment, compliance, tax, or legal need.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Jefe is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption.

Updates to these Terms

Jefe may update these Terms as the product, providers, payment flows, support model, or legal requirements change. Continued use of Jefe after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
