Start a deletion request
Email support@getjefe.app from the address connected to your account when possible.
How to request deletion
Email support@getjefe.app with the subject “Jefe account deletion request.” You can use this public page at https://getjefe.app/account-deletion without reinstalling Jefe or signing in.
- Send the request from the email address connected to your Jefe account when possible.
- Include the email address connected to the account and the company or business name, if applicable.
- Tell us whether you want to delete only your individual account or, if you are the company owner, the company workspace and its associated data.
- Never send a password, one-time verification code, full payment-card number, or CVC.
What happens next
- Our support target is to acknowledge the request by email within two business days.
- Jefe support will verify the requester’s identity before acting on the request and may ask for limited additional account information.
- A company owner request may affect managers, crew, customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, payment records, and other workspace data. Jefe will confirm the requested scope and the requester’s authority before deleting a company workspace.
- For a manager or crew account, Jefe deletes the individual authentication identity, revokes active sessions, and deletes the membership and personal data that is not subject to the retention needs below. Business records created for the company may remain under the company owner’s control or be retained as described below.
- Our support target is to complete the request within 30 calendar days after identity, authority, and scope verification. If verification, legal obligations, or technically protected retention schedules delay completion, Jefe will explain the delay and provide an updated estimate.
- Jefe will confirm when the authentication identity and active sessions are deleted and explain any associated information that must be retained.
Data deleted with the account
After identity and authority checks, Jefe deletes the authentication identity and revokes its active sessions. Jefe also deletes or de-identifies associated profile, membership, and other personal data when it is no longer needed to provide the service or meet the retention needs below.
If an authorized company owner requests company-workspace deletion, Jefe also deletes or de-identifies company data that is not subject to a legitimate retention requirement. The exact scope depends on the account role and the records connected to the company.
Data that may be retained
Jefe may retain limited records when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment processing, tax or accounting obligations, audit history, dispute resolution, or enforcing agreements. Retained records are limited to those purposes and are not kept as an active Jefe account.
Residual copies may remain in protected backups or operational logs until their ordinary rotation or deletion schedules complete. De-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies the user may also remain.
Closing a company or leaving a workspace is different
Closing a company, leaving a company, signing out, uninstalling Jefe, or ending a subscription does not by itself delete the user’s authentication account. Use the deletion request above when account deletion is intended.
